About Us
EandDdesign evolved through the passion for creativity which my husband and I share. Over the last 15 years together, we have
created Save the Date invitations for our wedding,
interactive magnet calendars to help our children learn the date, season,
weather, and holidays, and, my personal favorite, elaborate Elf on the Shelf scenes for the whole
month of December, just to name a few.
We are elated to embark on our new adventure of sharing our inspirations
with YOU.
With that said, please be patient with us as there will definitely be bumps along the way as we learn about creating a website, a Facebook page, a Pinterest page, and much more!

Why We Feel Thank You Notes are Important for Children
Our own children are fortunate to be surrounded by others who have been blessed with the ability to provide them with presents for birthdays, Christmas, and other holidays.
We feel one of our jobs as their parents is to ensure they show appreciation for the gifts they receive through hand written Thank You Notes.
Our household rule is they can open a present, but until they have written a Thank you note for the present they have opened, they cannot open another one. Does this make them become engrossed in every gift they receive? No, but it makes them pause for a minute.
Our children's Thank You Notes sometimes take days or, maybe in some cases, weeks to write, but given they are only 7 and 4, we think this time frame is not too bad. Even though time is not on our side with writing these notes, there are so many benefits we have seen from this rule. With that said, we need and write a lot of notes so we thought YOU might need some too!
